Server move…
Arkadians… it’s time to move again. The ads never quite covered the costs of the dedicated server and at the moment I am at a really bad moment money speaking. I have a reselling account that I use for my work, and we’ll be moving the site there I think. We cannot rehost somewhere without trying and our current hosts would not have us back in shared hosting as we used too much memory last time.
The solution of moving to a shared account under my reselling one is not ideal, but it’s what can be done - we won’t be able to have lightbox downloads, which is what caused the memory problem originally, but we are going to try and keep all the downloads up and running. We are also trying to plan for a new system with single file downloads and ZIP downloads. Will keep you posted.
We need to have moved everything by April 3rd, which is when the site would be shut down due to non-payment. It is hopefully enough time for a transfer of the files - otherwise, it’ll take a while to reupload as I’m stuck on a rather slow connection. But other than that do not fret.
The other option relies on you Arkadians, we are 125 USD short on this month’s payment, we have been too busy yet ironically too broke to get the site fully up and running as we’ve wanted to for so long, so it is more self-sufficient. If you can donate within the next couple of days, please do so, if the payment is not done, the server move will have to go through. You will perhaps not notice. But thought you should know.
